Ravi Kishan : Unconventional Hero of Unconventional films

Ravi Kishan, who is said to be the Amitabh Bachchan of Bhojpuri cinema, is these days very busy with Hindi films too. Many of his films are named unconventionally. At present Ravi Kishan is busy shooting for “Chalis Charasi” (40 84) directed by Hriday Shetty. This film has Naseeruddin Shah, KK Menon, Atul Kulkarni, and Ravi Kishan in lead roles.

Just before it Ravi Kishan had completed his shootings for “Zila Ghaziabad” produced by Vinod Bachchan of “Tanu Weds Manu” fame. Zila Ghaziabad has Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberai, and Arshad Warsi along with Ravi Kishan in lead roles.

Another of his films “Chitkabre” is going to release soon. Ravi Kishan says that his role in the film is one of the best of his roles.

After Chitkabre will come “Mohalla 80” a film based on a novel written by Dr.Kashi Nath Singh and produced by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. Ravi Kishan is playing the role of Kanni Guru, a careless talkative youth of Benaras.

His next film is going to be “Azaan” based for foreign background. Ravi Kishan has also worked in Agent Vinod, a home production film by Saif Ali Khan. Ravi Kishan will also be seen in Ishaqq, Loot, and two others which are going for shooting soon/

Winning the hearts of his fans as well as the critiques by his performances in Luck, Ra-one, Na Ghar Ke Na Ghat Ke etc. Ravi Kishan says that his roles in each of these films is of a different nature and is important. Thus this king of Bhojpuri cinema also has a long que of big banners in front of his.
